Details
COLSTERWORTH NEWTON WAY SK 9224-9324 (south side) 11/29 No.51 (Asholme Lodge) 24.9.79 G.V. II Farmhouse. Early C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and red brick dressings. Pantile roof, 2 gable and single ridge brick stacks. T-plan. 2 storey irregular 4 bay front with off-centre C19 stone gabled porch with to right a 2 light casement, to left a 3 light casement and 2 two light casements, one being in the side of the cross wing. All ground floor windows have C19 segmental brick heads. To first floor 2 two light casements and a further similar window in the cross wing, all to eaves. Interior retains an inglenook fireplace with simply chamfered bressummer. On the first floor are timber framed partitions of early C18 character.
