BURLESCOMBE ST 01 NE 5/21 Wills headstone approximate 1.5m - south of chancel of Church of St Mary GV II

Headstone. Dated 1690 in memory of John Wills. Hamstone. Upright slab with elliptical head standing approximately 1.2m high. The front contains a sunken panel between borders each side of carved guilloche and below the head carved with a winged cherubs head flanked by a skull and crossbones and an hourglass. The inscription, in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering, records the death of John Wills in 1690.
