BARLINGS BARLINGS LANE TF 07 SE (east side) 4/20 Grange Farmhouse GV II
Farmhouse. Early C18, C20. Coursed limestone rubble and ashlar, some red brick. Steeply pitched slate roof, hipped to south-east with single gable and lateral stacks and single, central ridge stack. 2 dormers with hipped roofs and blocked windows, single sky-light to north. 2 storey and attic. Brick plinth. 2 bay north front with C20 threequarter glazed door to left, flanked by single lights all under single wooden lintel and all with glazing bars. Round headed glazing bar sash to right, with 2 glazing bar sashes above, both with wooden lintels. 5 bay west front with large C20 glazing bar door to left, flanked by single long glazing bar windows all under single wooden lintel. Single glazing bar sash to right with wooden lintel and small C20 extension beyond with C20 glazing bar door and C20 casement beyond. 2 glazing bar sashes above to left, both with wooden lintels. Single window opening to right with glazing bar sash beyond with wooden lintel. Blocked window beyond, lower half covered by C20 extension. C19 staircase. Limestone probably re- used from Barlings Abbey.
