7/30 Urn at west end of Church of St.Edith
G.V. II
Urn and pedestal. Late C18. Limestone ashlar. Urn on square pedestal with stepped top, decorated with linen swags, wreaths and a band of acanthus leaves with paterae and domed top. On the east side is an oval cartouche containing an inscription recording John Nelthorpe of Little Grimsby Hall. The urn and pedestal stand on a stone platform which incorporates late C18 2 recumbent slabs to members of the Nelthorpe family covering a vault beneath.
