STAINFIELD KINGSTHORPE LANE TF 17 SW (south side) Farmbuilding at 5/50 Stainfield Hall 14.11.85 G.V. II
Threshing barn with attached carriage arch and tackroom with hayloft over. 1707, C20. Red brick, limestone ashlar dressings. pantile roof, hipped to west, and with decorated eaves. Ashlar quoins on north-east corner. Large threshing barn to right with large rectangular opening with wooden lintel and plank doors. Barn opening flanked by single, blind, round headed openings, the upper parts blocked with C20 brick. Carriage opening to left of barn with segmental head and some C20 brick patching to rounded jambs. Ashlar datestone above inscribed 1707. Small shuttered round headed opening to left with doorway beyond with segmental head and plank door. Small rectangular window to left. Original barn roof intact. Smaller, lower opening opposite western opening of barn, now blocked with C20 brick.
