ST GILES ST GILES IN THE WOOD SS 53 18 IN THE WOOD 18/242 Squire headstone approximately 34 - metres south-south-west of the tower of the Church of St Giles
GV II
Headstone. Dated 1804 in memory of Frances Squire. Slate. Upright nowy-headed slab standing approximately 400 millimetres high. The front has an inscribed frame and the head is carved with a winged skull. The first work is in italic lettering, the rest is in Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. It records the death of Frances Squire in 1804. This headstone has been repositioned here.
