(Formerly Listed as:
SUTTON ROAD, Sutton Poyntz

GV II

Cottage, attached to larger house. Early C19, but on a small
scale, suggesting possibility of earlier fabric. Rubble,
thatch roof. The main range, parallel with the stream, is
immediately behind Sutton Mill (qv); the property appears to
have been cut back when the adjacent house to the left was
built, as one of its upper windows lies immediately adjoining
the party wall. A rear range, giving an L-plan overall.
2 storeys; the upper floor has a small square light in 4
panes, and two 2-light small-pane casements, all set to slight
eyebrows in the thatch. Ground floor has a 2-light casement
under a wood lintel shared with the flush 4-panel C19 door,
and to the right is a 2-light horizontal sliding sash. A gable
stack to the right, and to the rear wing, which is also
thatched, and has an eyebrow casement.
INTERIOR not inspected.
