GV II

House in row. Early C19. Painted brickwork, rendered at back, slate roofs. A lofty narrow frontage with a deep, full-height hipped rear wing. 3 storeys, 1 window; a 16-pane sash in face box above 2-storey tripartite 8:12:8-pane sash bow to dentilled cornice at each floor; the ground floor bow is slightly narrower than and offset to the first floor, and may be a later insertion. To the right is a 6-panel fielded door under a plain fanlight, with a pilaster to the right. Moulded cornice, blocking course and coped parapet, all slightly higher than those to the adjoining No.10 (qv). Small plinth, 2 stacks to the left gables, one of these in early brickwork. The rear wall has a 20-pane above 16-pane sash, and at ground floor a 3-light steel sash has been inserted; there is a further small light at second floor. INTERIOR not inspected.
