Farmhouse. Mid - late C18 with later additions and alterations.
Pebbledashed facade with ashlar dressings and cast-tile
roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays, arranged 1-2-1 with central taller breakforward,
and with range to rear. Gothick. Central entrance a C20 glazed door with
pointed-arched overlight. Flanking and first-floor pointed sashes with
glazing bars within ashlar surrounds, those to outer bays are blind and
painted. Similar painted opening to centre of centre bay raised above
first-floor level. Embattled parapets. Rear stacks. Built to be an eye-
catcher from windows of Stapleton Hall. Pevsner N, Yorkshire: The West
Riding, 1979, p648.
