Church. Probable C15 tower with nave and chancel of 1690, with later additions and alterations including C19 vestry. Magnesian limestone tower, otherwise pinkish-orange brick with ashlar dressings, plain tile, stone slate and Welsh slate roofs. 3-stage west tower, 3-bay nave with south porch, slightly narrower and lower 2-bay chancel with north vestry. Tower: plinth, first stage has 2-light mullion window and 2 slit windows. Recessed 2nd stage. 3rd stage band. Twin-light, trefoil-headed, bell-openings under hoodmould. Battlements with pinnacles. Nave: plinth has chamfered ashlar coping. Quoins. South side: central porch has quoined sides. Round-arched opening with pilasters, capitals and long keystone. Ashlar coping and pointed finials to end and apex, that to left missing. Within a chamfered round-arched opening with plain double doors. Casements with leaded quarries under round keyed arches on pilasters with moulded sills to north and south sides. Moulded cornice. Frieze. Moulded eaves band. Ashlar coping with pointed finials at end. Chancel: quoins, ashlar plinth. South side: priest's door with similar architrave to south porch but with herringbone infil. Windows to north and south side as nave. North side has C19 vestry to first bay. Moulded cornice. Frieze. Moulded eaves band. Ashlar coping and finial. East end: 3-light pointed window with Perpendicular tracery with moulded sill and pilasters with capitals to sides. Interior: double-chamfered, round chancel arch on chamfered piers. Otherwise plain. Probably late C17 octagonal font with lead lining. Wooden plaque of 1821 recording benefactors. Victorian coat of arms on painted wooden plaque.
