Street Methodist Chapel 11/122 (formerly listed as 6/10/69 Methodist Chapel)

Chapel, with manse, now private house. 1789 dated on plaque over porch, but of 2 builds, the north manse bay probably a slightly later addition. Coursed herringbone-tooled sandstone. Graduated Lakeland and Welsh slate roof. East front to road 1 tall storey, 2 bays at left, 2 storeys 1 bay at right. Entrance in right return of small gabled porch between bays 1 and 2. House door at right and a small shuttered window beyond. Steps down to porch, and basement area at left. Chapel part has 2 tall keyed round- arched windows with glazing bars and interlaced heads. Right return shows basement storey with boarded door and small pent outhouse. Sash windows with glazing bars on both floors above. Left return blank above stepped plinth. West front has 2 similar round-arched chapel windows, with keyed relieving arches over, and a sash in the domestic part, above a low fixed light. Roof has stone ridge and gable copings, corniced stack to north. Roofligts have been inserted on west (Welsh) roof slope.
