Farmhouse, dated 1777. I & B.M. on lintel, but probably older and
remodelled at that date. Coursed tooled sandstone; pantiled roof
with stone stacks, copings and kneelers. Hearth-passage plan.
2½ storeys, 3 bays on entrance front, and 1½-storey left part
containing passage door with dated lintel, very roughly carved.
Stair window central in main block; 2-light stone-mullioned window
at top right and an enlarged later window below; 2 early C19 sashes
and 3 small modern casements.
Garden front shows two 3-light chamfered mullioned windows on each
floor (the ground-floor left blocked) and a small light under eaves.
In lower right part (kitchen or dairy and of older appearance) a
3-light mullioned window with head rebated for shutters. On left
return a boarded C20 door with small light to left, and a 2-light
stone-mullioned window above.
