- II House, probably early C18; restored and wings added in early C20. Old house herring-bone-tooled sandstone; wings narrowly-coursed rockfaced sandstone with tooled-and-marginal dressings. Pantiled roofs with tile ridges, stone ridged copings, finials and stacks. Old house 2 storeys, 3 windows; gabled, projecting l-bay wings. Central half-glazed door with low overlight, shaped lintel and hoodmould. 2-light stone-mullioned windows with leaded casements above and flanking on both floors. All openings restored. 5-light stone-mullioned windows on both floors of left wing, under continuous dripmoulds. Right wing has 2-storey bay with canted corners, 6-light window and parapet. Inner returns have smaller similar windows; all windows in wings are transomed. Ball -on-pedestal finials to bay parapet and to sides and peaks of gables. End chimneys to old house. Corniced stacks to outer walls of wings. Interior: largely restored in early C20 but with one plain C18 stone fireplace surround containing a modified Yorkshire range with reckon. Restored beams and panelling of high quality.
