House and shops. Early-mid C18 with later shop fronts. Part rough herringbone-
tooled sandstone, part finer, lightly-tooled masonry. Pantiled roof with stone
ridge, brick stack and dormers. 2 storeys and attic, 4 narrow bays. Off-centre
half-glazed 2-leaf shop door with early-Cl9-type shop window at left; Yorkshire
sash at right. On first floor an 8-pane C18 sash above the door, framed in
longer pilaster jambs suggesting a former loading door, and 3 Yorkshire sashes,
1 to left and 2 to right. Coved eaves course. Dormers have 12-pane lights with
4-pane bottom left opening sections. Shop premises continue to left into ground
floor of Muir Lea (q.v.).
