HENDERSKELFE CASTLE HOWARD ESTATE SE 76 NW 7/42 Low Gaterley Smithy GV II Smithy. Late C18. Hammer-dressed limestone, Welsh slate roof. 3 bays with outshut. Single storey. Double doors beneath massive timber lintel and blocked window with keyed wedge lintel to right. Outshut to extreme right. Stepped eaves course. Hipped roof. Stack to right eaves. Interior: brick built forge with fire hood. Included for group value.
