CASTLEGATE 1. 5340 (West Side) No 9 SE 7984 4/153 II GV 2. Early Cl9 features, probably earlier origin. Pantile roof. Coursed stone. 2 semi-dormers of 2 lights break eaves, modern. Ground floor has 1 window of 3 lights, modern hung sashes, no glazing bars, stone lintel. Stone lintel to plain door.

Nos 8 to 19 (consec) and 14A form a visual group with the Friends' Meeting House, No 8 being of local interest.
