Pair of cottages. c1800 with later extension and C20 alteration. Squared
limestone with brick eaves course; part-brick outbuilding to no 43; pantile
roof with brick stacks. 2-storey, 4-window front. No 42 to left has part-
glazed C20 door and 2-light, 24-pane horizontal sliding sashes throughout.
No 43 has panelled door and 2-light 24-pane casements except for first floor
right, which is 2-light casement with large panes. Painted stone sills to
all windows. Painted wedge lintels to ground-floor openings, and painted
timber lintels to first-floor windows. Rear: lean-to outbuilding to no 43;
single-storey outshut to no 42 with catslide roof.
