SE 8574 RILLINGTON LOW MOORGATE (west side) 11/44 Park Farmhouse
II Farmhouse. Mid - late C18, probably with earlier origins; late C19 extension. Red brick in Flemish bond to front, stretcher bond to sides; concrete tile roof. Central-stairhall plan, one room deep, with rear service rooms; later kitchen added to rear left. 2-storey, 3-window front. Central half-glazed door with recessed panels. 16-pane sashes with painted stone sills throughout. Painted flat arches with keyblocks to all openings. Stepped and dentilled eaves course. Left side: 2-light, 36-pane horizontal sliding sash beneath segmental arch. Rear: 12-pane sash to ground floor centre and 2-light, 12-pane horizontal sliding sash above, both with segmental arches. Stepped eaves course. End stacks to both ranges of M- shaped roof. Interior: open-string, dog-leg staircase, with clustered stick balusters, and moulded handrail ramped up to half landing and first floor; cheekpieces decorated with foliate carving. 6-panel doors to ground-floor front rooms, that to right with fluted borders and paterae. Round-arched fireplace niches in this room have anthemion-carved keyblocks. In ground- floor room to left are double cupboard doors of 6 raised and fielded panels with H-hinges. Original plank doors to rear rooms.
