Details

WINTRINGHAM PLACE NEWTON SE 87 SE 8/94 Stable building approximately 50 metres west of (Place Newton house) GV II Stables and lofts. Early C19 with later alteration and extension. Squared sandy limestone on footings of red brick in random bond; slate roof. L-shaped on plan. Yard front: 1½ storeys, 3-windows. Wide board doors right of centre and at left end: similar door in lowered opening at right end. Window beside left end door of 2-lights, with small-pane leaded glazing in left light only. Remaining windows are small-pane, pivoting lights. Painted timber lintels to ground-floor openings. Hipped roof. Left return: 1½-storey, 3-window range, with 1-storey outbuilding at left. Wide board door at centre left, and plank lifting door at right end. All windows are small-pane, pivoting lights except at left end which is a 2-light small-pane horizontal-sliding sash. Painted timber lintels to ground-floor openings. Hipped roof. Outbuilding has double garage doors. 2-light fixed window with small-pane leaded glazing in gable end.
