Village school, now church hall. 1853; extended and re-roofed later.
Dressed limestone with ashlar dressings; extension of red brick in English
garden wall bond. Slate roof and brick stack. Full-height, single window
to gable end on street. Pointed board door in plain surround with roll-
moulded hood, approached by flight of steps. At right, segment-arched
window of 3 cusped pointed lights with chamfered mullions in moulded
surround with rolled hoodmould. Continuous moulded impost band. 1914-18
war memorial panel inserted at right of window. Barge-boarded gable end
surmounted by pedimented bellcote. Right return: 2 square-headed windows of
3 shaped lights with chamfered mullions. Left return: off-centre stack
rises at base of roof.
