SE 27 SE AZERLEY AZERLEY LANE (south side) Galphay 5/14 Hillcrest (formerly listed as House occupied 6.3.67 by Mr Teal) GV II

House, possibly former bobbin mill. Early C18 with Cl9 restoration. Coursed squared gritstone to south front, rubble rear and gable walls, pantile roof. A double-pile house of 2 storeys with attic , 3 first-floor windows. Central 4-panel door with top 2 panels glazed; flanking and first- floor windows are sashes, all in sawn stone surrounds. Rear: 2-light double-chamfered mullion window with round-headed stair window above. Left return: two 2-light double-chamfered mullion windows lighting attic . Right return: straight flight of steps to board door in first floor; single-light attic window to left. Outbuilding attached to right - not of special interest.
