2/58 Orangery in walled garden at Norton - Conyers House 22.7.55 - II
Orangery. Late C18 and later glazing. Ashlar and red brick, Flemish bond. Centre block of 5 bays with flanking glasshouses. Central round- headed double doors with wood panels and glazing bars. Round-headed sashes with glazing bars. All have moulded archivolt and double keystone. Deep cornice and parapet. Flat roof. Glasshouses each approximately 11 metres long; to left of orangery the glass complete, with a domestic building, probably a gardeners' rooms, behind. Glasshouse to right only partly glazed, with boiler house and forcing room to rear.
