2/27 Summer Pavilion approximately 45 metres 8.3.52. south-east of The Priory (formerly listed with "The Priory with summerhouse and outbuildings west of Church)

Summer pavilion. Early C18. Probably for Nathaniel Payler. Brick in Flemish bond, lead roof. Square on plan. Single storey, single bay. Raised quoins. Pedimented central section, which breaks forward has 4 steps to half-glazed door with thick glazing bars beneath radial fanlight with brick arch and massive stepped keystone, rusticated brickwork to lintel level and recessed panels to spandrels. Uneven 15-pane sash to right return in raised brick surround. Moulded timber cornice. Ogee-shaped roof surmounted by small ogee-shaped dome with weather-vane.
