WORSBROUGH HOUND HILL LANE SE30SW (west side, off)
1/86 Rob Royd - II House. Probably early C18, rewindowed early C19, C19 additions to rear. Rubble sandstone, Welsh slate roof. L-shaped plan with additions in rear-left angle. 2 storeys, 3 windows to 1st floor. Large quoins. Doorway to left of centre has margin-light-glazed door in wooden architrave with bracketed cornice. Flanking windows and window to far left have sashes with glazing bars in raised square-faced surrounds with projecting sills; window to far right has 16-pane sash; 1st floor: sashes with glazing bars in similar surrounds. Decorative cast-iron gutter brackets. Shaped kneelers, ashlar gable copings. Ashlar end stack on left has moulded string, offset and corniced shaft; larger ridge stack to right of centre is similar. Right return: square, single-storey bay window beneath sash with glazing bars.
