Details
SE10NE DUNFORD BEDDING EDGE ROAD (south side), Hepworth 1/1 Barn at Hepshaw Farm II Barn. Dated 1697; altered. Coursed, squared rubble. Stone slate roof. Five internal bays. Continuous outshut to front. Quoins. Entrance to right with chamfered, quoined surround and Tudor-arched, dated lintel. Two further entrances, probably later. Several small lights, some in early chamfered surrounds. Hollow-chamfered gable copings on moulded kneelers. Rear: two square-headed cart entrances, that to left with oak lintel, that to right bricked-up. Later lights to far right. Interior: 4 king-post trusses with struts, braced to ridge. Arcade posts have reverse-curved braces to tie-beams. Arcade-plate, purlins and rafters renewed. Some aisle-ties replaced. No wall plate.
