2/21 Barn at Tyers Hill Farm approximately 5 metres to north-west of farmhouse.
GV II
Barn now store. Probably Cl7. Timber-framed, dressed-stone plinth wall with brickwork above, partly roughcast, Welsh slate roof. 5 timber-framed bays with added bay to end nearest house, mostly single- storey. Farmyard side: all roughcast. C20 sliding door to central bay of timber-framed part. To left-end bay a boarded door and small casement. Left gable has shaped kneelers and copings renewed in fireclay. Rear: stone plinth wall with chamfered top edge, C20 brickwork above. Exposed timber wallposts to left with braces to wall plate. Interior: retains 5-bay timber-framed structure with numbered trusses, some wall posts obscured by wailing. Straight braces to the tie-beams of principal rafter trusses. The tie-beam to left-end truss (now within the building) has soffit mortices. Straight wind braces to single purlins.
