CLIFTON ON YORE CLIFTON CASTLE SE 28 SW 6/72 Gatepiers, gates and railings at East Lodge II GV 2 gatepiers, gates, railings and end piers. c1800. Ashlar, wrought-iron gates. Gatepiers flanked by railings on stone plinth with end piers. Main gatepiers with plinth, band, frieze, cornice and shallow pyramidal caps. Double gates have plain mid rail and dog bars and spiked bars. To either side a low wall supports spear-headed finialled bars and dog bars. Smaller end piers similar to main gate piers.
