Upper Farm Barn, to south west of house

Threshing barn, now used for storage. Probably C17 or earlier with later alterations. Timber framed, external walls now brick. Lower half in local narrow C18 red brick of 2 builds, C19 pinkish-brown brick above with diaper-shaped vents. Swept French tile roof. 4 bays, aisle to one side. Opposed wagon doors. 3 original trusses have stout jowled posts with brick casing to feet, arch braces and arched tie beams. Principal rafter roof with collars and butt purlins tenoned into the principals.
