Cottage. Mid-late C18. Red brown brick on sandstone plinth. Pantile roof with
stone coping and kneelers, end stack to right. Two storeys, 3 bays. Present
entrance to rear. Ground floor: to left a sash window with glazing bars in flush
wood architrave under a flat red gauged brick arch. To right a large bow window of
c1970. Two-course 1st floor band. Sash windows with glazing bars (20 replacements)
in flush wood architraves above. Stepped and dentilled eaves cornice. To left is
attached late C18 extension, formerly a farm building, now converted to form part of
the house and a garage. Red brick. Pantile roof with stone coping. Garage door
and one sash window with glazing bars. Dentilled eaves. Included partly for
important group consideration.
