SE 4370 HELPERBY MAIN STREET 8/24 (east side) 17.5.60 High Farm House II
House. 1769 on iron ties to gable end. Pinkish-brown local brick with stucco quoins and bands at floor levels. Modillion eaves cornice. Pantile roof with end and ridge chimneys. 3 storeys, 4 bays. Entrance to 2nd bay from right has a heavy C19 doorcase with brackets and flat hood, 6-panel door with segment arched fanlight, panelled reveals and soffit. Sash windows with glazing bars in flush wood architraves under decorative stucco lintels with keystones. Cills to ground floor windows. Staircase with 2 turned balusters per tread. Ramped handrail and curtail. Dado following line of stair. C18 cupboard with shaped shelves in round arched frame withreeded pilasters in ground floor room to left on entrance.
