Pair of semi-detached houses. 1908. By Percy Houfton for the Brodsworth
Colliery Company. Roughcast, later cement-tile roof. 2 storeys, 2 : 2
windows to 1st floor; reflected pair. Wooden casements with glazing bars
throughout. Each house has door under wooden canopy on shaped brackets set
between 3-light windows with tile dripmoulds; two 3-light windows to
1st floor with tile dripcourse beneath gable with motif of lozenges. Swept
eaves. Rendered end stacks corbelled from the gables, matching central ridge
stack. Rear: each house has door flanked by small 4-pane casements embraced
under an arched tile dripmould; central gable. Part of Woodlands colliery
village (see under Church of All Saints, Central Avenue).
