Former school and school house, dated and initialled 'J. M. 1849' on shield on porch gable to the school room. Coursed squared and dressed limestone; stone slate roof with ashlar and artificial stone stacks. 'L'-shaped plan. Single-storey flat-roofed extension on the east, not of special interest. Two-storey school house with single-storey school room adjoining at right angles. Entrance front; gable of school house projects forwards to right with projecting stone-built gabled porch off-centre left. Similar porch to the school room. All windows 2-light stone-mullioned casements with diamond leaded panes. Tudor-arched doorway to porch to school house now blocked with 2-light casement inserted in the blocking. Blank shield over the door. Double plank doors, each with single glass pane to the school room porch. Stepped coping, roll-cross saddles and triangular kneelers to the porch gables and to the south facing gable of the school house. Gable- end and lateral stacks. Interior not inspected.
