II
House; late C17 or early C18, altered late C18. Rendered
brickwork over brick plinth, sides brick, tiled roof. Three-
window wide, L-plan, 2½ storeys. Six-panel front door, top
fielded, bottom flush, semi-circular fanlight, off stone landing
up 6 stone steps. Flat projecting porch over on 2 Adam Doric
columns and pilasters, moulded frieze. Either side a 4-pane wide
sash, on right over 2 segmental-headed openings to cellar. First
floor plain string course, 3 similar windows. Coved cornice: 2
hipped dormers, moulded eaves, 2-light casements. Roof hipped on
left for rear wing, gabled right: brick chimney on ridge
projecting from face. Lean-to wing on right, roof replacing
earlier pitched.
Interior, square newels with beaded arrises to stairs, turned
balusters, moulded handrail, and string: spandrel below panelled.
Additional rooms added to rear, partly infilling angle.
