TM 29 NW SAXLINGHAM NETHERGATE THE GREEN (north side) 6/66 Porch Cottage

- II Farmhouse converted into 2 dwellings. Late C16 and later. Rendered timber frame re-faced with brick to front and sides. Thatched roof. 2 storeys. C18 or early C19 re-facing with 3-light windows with metal casements and hori- zontal glazing bars. Ground floor windows beneath segmental arches. Later gabled porch and later extensions to rear. One off-centre axial stack and one later gable-end stack. Remains of one queen post truss to west of stack. Large bridging joist with broach chamfer stops.
