4/123 Lodge Cottage to the Dales

GV II

Lodge, dated 1913 on cast iron cistern. Square knapped flint with brick dressings, plain tiles. Irregular plan of 2 bays of 1½ storeys having cross wing to left with low gable projecting forward, part across first bay. Case- ment windows with leaded panes having original ornate fittings. Half glazed door and attached 3-light window to first bay, gabled half dormer above with swept valleys, gable rendered; 2nd bay with 3-light casement to ground floor. Cross wing with 4-light casement to ground floor, 2-light casement above. Right hand gable has external brick stack with oversailing cap; 2 attic windows. Cast iron cistern against cross wing return to first bay with date and initials 1913 HDK.
