Details
HOUND STREET 1. 1625 (South-East Side) No 16 [Cyclo] No 18 [The Cottage] No 20 [Lyn Cottage] ST 6316 1/350 II GV 2. C19 fronts of 2-storeys, 2 window bays each. Slate gabled roofs, right hand bay in No 16 with lower ridge; brick stacks. Stone rubble fronts. 2-light casements on 1st floor, with small panes in No 18. On ground floor, No 16 has from right to left hand, a 4-light 3-tier window with lintel, a segmental headed doorway with 6-panelled door and a 3-light window. No 18 has a 3-light casement with small panes to either side of segmental headed doorway; 6-panelled door with upper 4 panels glazed. In right hand return of No 16, a blocked 2-light window, each light with four-centred head and carved spandrel. No 20 has lower frontage and seems to have been restored. 2-storey, 1 window bay stone rubble front to Hound Street. Plaintile half-hipped roof. Upper window rises into roof space and has gable over. Sash windows with some glazing bars missing; horns; lower window with lintel. Doorway at end of external passageway at left hand end of house.
Nos 16 to 20 (even), Harper House and Boundary walls to Harper House along Hound Street form a group.
