LONG STREET 1. 1625 (North-West Side) Cromwell House. Belmont. Wistaria House and dwarf walls and railings ST 6416 2/139 II GV 2. Early to mid C19. Two storeys and attic. Slate roofs. Cromwell House; 3 window 6 bays. 2 segmental box dormers. Rendered front. Long and short quoins. Overhanging eaves on stone brackets; dentil moulded eaves. Sash windows in reveals; glazing bars intact in upper right hand window only. Windows with plain architraves, keystones and moulded cornices. Centre first floor window with moulded triangular pediment on cut brackets. Rectangular doorcase with pilasters and entablature; round-headed doorway has 6 flush panelled door. Belmont and Wistaria House: 2 window bays each. Ashlar fronts. Flat pilasters between the fronts. 2 segmentals box dormers each. Outer sash windows 3 panes wide; inner windows 4 panes wide; keystones Stone doorways with Tuscan pilasters, entablatures, rectangular fanlights and 6 moulded panelled doors. C19 dwarf walls faced with red brick; stone capping. Ashlar piers with peaked capping. Railings.
Premises occupied by Mr E J T Rogers, Congregational Chapel, Dwarf wall, railings and gates to Congregational Chapel, School room to south of Congregational Chapel, Cromwell, Belmont, Wistaria House and Dwarf walls and railings and Thorn Bank form a group.
