BARRINGTON MIDDLE ROAD, SP 2012-2112 Little Barrington Village 11/118 Stable/barn and adjoining cottage, c25m east of Church Farmhouse 23.1.52 (formerly listed with Church Farmhouse) GV II Stable/barn and adjoining store with tallet, (now converted into a house). Late C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone. Stone slate roof. Rectangular plan with cottage at right angles at the left gable end. Two double-width doorways in barn/store. Two single width plank doorways and two 2-light casements. Ventilation slits. Cottage; 2 storeys. Low double plank door in ground floor, stone steps up to plank door left, small 2-light casement to right of door. C20 six-pane top-opening casement in the left gable end. Stepped capping at the north gable end of the barn/stable. Barn/stable interior; stable probably inserted at a later date (a brick wall now divides the two), original collar and tie beam trusses with struts and triple purlins.
