1. 5224 THE SQUARE
Rosary Cottage (formerly listed with Island House) and garden wall to west SP 1439 SE 9/219 25.8.60

2. C16 and C17 restored. Two and a half storeys. Ground floor rubble, first floor roughcast probably over a timber-frame. Tiled roof with gabled dormer to right of centre and 2 end chimneys, the right hand one ashlar with cornice. Roof extends as pentise over ground floor on each side of a small 3 light casement window. Modern 3 light mullion window with label to ground floor left, ledged door to right of centre and 2 light chamfered mullion window in rebated surround to right. The west front has a mullioned window on first floor and C19 windows on ground floor. Two storey extension to south with Yorkshire sashes on first floor, door and bay window on ground floor under hood and Cotswold stone roof. Small garden to west enclosed by roughly semi-circular rubble wall about 4 ft high with and coping of flag-stones on edge. This wall is returned to south and links with wall of Island House (qv). The houses and garden walls of the Square are vital to the character of Chipping Campden High Street.
