The Hare Public House.
II
Public house. Mid-C17. Stucco rendered face, brick and clunch rear, red
pantiled roof. 2 storeys with attics, 4 windows. Lobby entrance plan at
south. Ground floor has one central sash with glazing bars. 2 outer wider
opening plate glass sashes with glazing bars. 4 first floor sashes with
glazing bars. One axial and one north end boarded door. 2 gabled 2-light
dormer window casements. One axial brick stack. Clunch rendered and plastered
south gable, brick coped parapet. To north early C19 2 storeys, 2 window
addition has one ground floor sash with glazing bars, one large 3-light case-
ment cross window. 2 long first floor sashes with glazing bars. Stocks (q.v.)
are attached.
