Details
UPTON WITH FISHLEY CARGATE LANE TG 31 SE 1/81 Primrose Farmhouse, including attached outbuilding to north. II Farmhouse. C18, with possibly earlier core. Red brick with reed-thatched roof. 1½ storeys, L-shaped. Two boarded entrance doors and four 3-light casement windows, all in segmental headed openings. Swept attic dormer with 2-light casement. Eastern bay a later addition. West gable parapeted with tumbling- in and with tie irons forming letters WH; ground and first floor 2-light casements in segmental heads. Off-centre axial stack; internal stack at east gable. Slightly lower range to north with parapeted gable and internal stack; some C20 casements. Attached outbuilding at north gable; openings much altered. One honeycomb brick vent. Parapeted gable with tumbling-in. Brickwork of east wall in English bond.
