Details

SEYMER ROAD 1. 5190 (west side) Belvedere and Belvedere Lodge SZ 0378 NW 5/137 SZ 0378 SW 5/137 II GV

2. Built c1830, probably by William Morton Pitt. Originally 3 houses. Three storeys. Rendered walls, slate roof behind- parapet. Facade divided into 3 units by raised flat pilasters, the southern unit being canted back. Flat string courses separating each storey. Ground floor has a glazed door, with fanlight, and balcony over, in the southern section, and windows in the central and northern sections. Two windows to each section on the upper floors. First floor windows set in circular-headed recesses. All windows double-hung sashes with glazing bars. Second entrance in the north wall. Door opening has circular head with fanlight and 6-panel door. Projecting timber porch with pedimented roof and glazed fanlight. Two-storeyed wing at rear. Stone boundary wall to Seymer Road. RCHM Monument 52.
