10/27 Field Hall Lodge II

Lodge. 1810-17 by Sir Charles Monck, extended later C19. Ashlar and snecked stone with Welsh slate roof. Single storey.

Originally 2 x 1 bays with 1-bay wing added to form L-plan. Also outshut in re-entrant angle. Doorway in outshut.

Original part in Greek Doric style with angle pilasters. Two 4-pane sashes in plain reveals. Doric entablature. Blocking course, low-pitched hipped roof, with ridge stack.

On left return an attached pedimented temple front with 2 Greek Doric columns in antis.
