LITTLE RISSINGTON LITTLE RISSINGTON VILLAGE SP 1819-1919 8/221 The Cottage adjoining the Old shop GV II Cottage at end of row (probably formerly 2 cottages). Late C18- early C19 with slightly later extension. Orange-coloured coursed squared and dressed limestone with dressed stone quoins. Mostly concrete tile, small area of stone slate on the forward facing roof pitch. Dressed stone stack (restored C20). Rectangular main body with later extensions to both gable ends. Main body; 2 storeys. Single 2-light metal casement within a cambered-arched headed surround to the first floor, similar casement with top opening lights to the ground floor. Panelled C19 door within a cambered-headed surround to the left. 1 1/2 storey extension with lower roofline to the right with a 2-light fixed casement within a cambered-headed surround to the ground floor. C20 single and 2- light casements to the gable end. l½ storey extension with lower roofline to left with rendered 2-light roof dormer. Two-light casement within a cambered-headed surround to the ground floor. Gable-end stack to main body. Interior not inspected.
