Headstone, 1799. Sandstone. Shaped top with oval eye, above inscription in
beaded and cabled surround:
'Capt John Lipton of the George & Mary of Sunderland which was
Wrecked upon Cresswell rocks in a Tremendous Tempest at S.E.
on the Night of Friday the 5th April 1799'.
