II

House. Late C17 with new front block added in early C19 ('recently enlarged' in 1823) and further alterations c.1870. Front tooled stone with raised tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, rear coursed rubble with roughly- shaped quoins. Welsh slate roofs on early C19 parts, stone slates on rear wing, brick stacks.

Front in 2 sections. Main part 2 storeys, 4 bays. Plinth, sill bands. C20 gabled porch, in bay 3; 12-pane sash windows. Coped gables with end stacks. Lower part to left has 2 doorways in old surrounds, probably re-set; that to far I left has chamfer, stepped on lintel dated 1694 with initials T A.

Rear elevation 2 storeys, 3 + 3 bays. Taller left part has central 6-panel door under leaded latticed overlight in raised alternating-block surround, inside C20 porch; late C19 2- and 3-light casement windows. Coped gables with moulded kneelers, end stacks rebuilt on old bases. Lower right part shows similar fenestration. Left return shows blocked chamfered light to 1st floor.

C20 porches not of interest.
