4/66 Velt House Farmhouse
II
Detached farmhouse. Early C17; late C18 addition. Timber-framed, faced in roughcast; part rebuilt or refaced in brick; limestone ashlar chimney; brick chimneys; clay plain tile roof. 2-room, 2- storey; 2-storey with attic L-plan addition. West: left projecting jettied gable end with side walls in brick; 2 posts inserted below jetty; 2 framed up ground floor casements; single casement above; projecting gable to right with projecting chimney stack; cambered headed casement in north side of wing. North: side of C17 house, jettied at each end; attached timber-framed part-glazed single- storey lean-to with pantile roof; behind lean-to, 2 plank doors with 2 framed-up casements between; ridge-mounted chimney with moulded cap and skirt. East: right projecting jettied gabled end with single-window fenestration; altered casement to ground floor and leaded casement above; left is brick wing with scattered cambered-headed casements; C20 gabled roof dormer. South: blank gable end to right with ridge-mounted brick chimney; single-window altered fenestration in wing running to left. North wing is timber-framed internally; some C17 plank doors. Attached outbuildings to south are not of special interest.
