OVER COMPTON ST 5816-5916 COMPTON PARK 14/96 Granary and Waggon-House 55 metres east-south-east 31.7.61 of Compton House (formerly listed as outbuilding at GV II Compton House) Granary and Waggon-House. Mid C18. Ashlar stone walls, with projecting and pedimented bay at centre. Ripped Roman tile roof. Two storeys. 6 windows, 2-light mullion windows with flat stone architraves. Doorways at each end of the range, have architraves, pulvinated frieze and cornice. Panelled doors. Projecting, pedimented central bay has two central carriage-entrances with 3-centred heads, large imposts and 2-leaf plank doors. (RCHM, Dorset I, p 103(2)).
