YANWORTH YANWORTH VILLAGE SP 01 SE 7/112 Barn c20m east of Church Farm (formerly listed under Church 23.1.52 Farm Barns) GV II
Barn. Late c17-mid C18 (but possibly represents rebuilding of an earlier barn). Random limestone including some squared and dressed limestone blocks. Projecting porch coursed squared and dressed limestone. Long rectangular plan with projecting porch off-centre right on west, later lean-to set back left of porch. Lean-to at left gable end. Open-fronted shed attached rear right not of special interest. Central double plank doors with timber lintel to projecting porch, bull's-eye window with four keystones in gable above. Double plank doors in wall opposite projecting porch. Later lean-to set back left of projecting porch, partially obscuring (possibly reused) blocked pointed archway with stopped hood formerly opening into projecting porch. Plank door in left- hand return of lean-to and at front of lean-to at left gable end. Flat coping and roll-cross saddle at apex of gable of projecting porch. Open sided lantern with pyramidal roof and pointed finial. Roof timbers of barn not visible at time of resurvey, (October 1985).
