Details
YANWORTH YANWORTH VILLAGE SP 01 SE 7/114 Yanworth Farmhouse (formerly listed as Old Farmhouse) 23.1.52 GV II Detached farmhouse. Late C17-mid C18 (in 2 stages) and possibly early C19. Limestone rubble, dressed stone quoins, ashlar stacks, stone slate roof. 'U'-shaped plan with earliest wing running back left and possible early C19 wing running back right. Garden front; early core 2 storeys and attic, gable end at left of garden front lit by single light, 2 an 3-light stone-mullioned casements. Left- hand return lit by C17 two-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned casement with stopped hood and two C20 stone-mullioned casements. Two C17 two-light stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods in rear wall. 1½ storey extension at right angles right; 3 bays with two gables left lit by two-light stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods, pigeon holes in both gables. Similar gable at rear with single light with stone surround and continuous hood at rear. Two and three-light stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods to ground floor. Stone-mullioned casements all replaced C19 or early C20. Plank door with fillets off-centre right. Stone steps up to plank door with raking roof upper right. Interior; tie beams with moulded stops. Partial interior inspection only.
